Expel

The world of Expel is divided up into three main continents: Cross, Lacour and El. And two smaller land masses, Hoffman Island which is just north of the continent of Lacour, and an unnamed deserted island where the Cave of Trials exist, which is southwest of the continent of Cross.
The continent of Cross is in fact, shaped like a cross. Cross Kingdom exists in the very centre along with Cross Cave, in the southern part exist the mining town of Salva, and the small village of Arlia. The Northern part is home to the newly rebuilt port town of Click, and the Mountain Palace. The Western land of Cross has the village of Mars, and the port town of Herlie. And the Eastern area of Cross holds the Lasgus Mountains, home of the King of the Monster Race, Xine, and an entrance to a peninsula of desert.
The continent of Lacour has the port town of Hilton on it's western seaboard. The city of Lacour is in the centre of the continent as well. In the southern region is the town of Linga, and the Linga Sanctuary. In the northern area is the now abandoned Frontline Fort, which was a bastion of defence against the encroaching demons from the Sorcery Globe.
And the slowly recovering continent of El. This was where the Sorcery Globe landed, and the spawning demons ravaged the land. The city of Eluria was destroyed as it was inhabited by the Gods Ten Wise Men. Just west of the old city, was the old refuge of the survivors, and is slowly being rebuilt to become New Eluria. South of there is the crater where the Sorcery Globe landed, and now a mysterious portal is in it's place, which leads to the rest of Videoland.

Aww the beautiful planet of Expel, so serene, so.... aww heck, you can just look at the desc. You know what it looks like. Beautiful green planet, blah. Well, except for the continent of El, which is still recovering from the effects of the Sorcery Globe. And just northwest of the crater where the Sorcery Globe is the town of New Eluria. And leaving that town is a rather tall traveller, with two Dragons on his back. The dragons start to speak, of course Ashton is the only one who can understand what they're saying, anyone else just hears... well... dragon noises.

The Blue head speaks "Do we have to leave already? The food was good, and they told us enough times we were welcome." The red head then speaks up "That's right, you haven't even DONE anything yet to get them irritated--" The dragon's speech is inturupted by the travellers hand swing up in front of his face "Don't even start Gyoro. You know how the pattern goes. They ask for help with some remaining monsters in the area, we take care of it. They welcome us to stay for a few days, and..." The blue head speaks again "And you be your usual clumsy self, break a few heirlooms, and leave before they get too mad and ASK us to leave." Ashton's mouth remains open for a moment, and he coughs and speaks again "...right. No point in repeating the same old pattern, right? Let's just head to the docks and get a ride back to Lacour." He sighs, and gazes up at the sky "...I miss Claude and the others." The red head snickers "Yeah, they were the only people that could put up with you." Ashton just gives a mere tired glance at Gyoro "Hey..." But before a fight can break up between the joined ones, the blue head, Ururun speaks up "Before we head back to Lacour... let's have a look at the old crater where the Sorcery Globe hit." Ashton blinks "Huh? What for?" Ururun's head turns to face him "I can't explain it... but I sense something odd in that direction. Gyoro and I are sensitive to it..." Ashton shrugs "Alright, we got some time before the ship to Lacour leaves. Let's check it out then." Leaving New Eluria behind, they head southeast to the crater.

The warp closes, and spits Lucca out, who travels a few feet before landing, not exactly soft. "Ugh...stupid gate key...next time Lucca, do NOT hook it up to the warp room..." Lucca gets up and brushes herself off "Well, as long as I'm here... wait... where IS here...?"

Lucca Ashtear examines her surroundings, and taps a button on her helmet "Experiment 23741: failed. Instead of opening a permanent warp between my home and the palace, i seem to have opened one to a world i haven't heard of. I seem to be standing in some kind of big crater...and that's about it. End experiment 23741: home portal. Initiate experiment 23742: make contact with inhabitants of world. Recorder activated.

Lucca Ashtear taps her helmet again, and scouts the area a bit
Ashton Anchors, who is still just a bit too far away to notice Lucca, is stopped briefly by the dragons "Huh? What is it?" Gyoro looks at the horizon "Just now... we felt something odd. Something doesn't feel right with the world." Ashton blinks giving his ususal clueless look "Not right with the world? Like what?" Ururun turns his head in the direction of the crater, and where Lucca is "There is something going on at the crater where the Sorcery Globe fell..." Now that got Ashton's attention "At the crater? You sure? Alright, let's go take a look." Ashton moves from a mild sprint to a light job, moving towards the area of the crater.

"Visual recording...check. Audio recording...check. Rupture detector...check. Scanning area for for lifeforms...

Lucca Ashtear says, "Scanning...scanning... *beeping noise* heat surge detected, just out of optical range, proceeding towards current location. Plan of action: wait until it shows itself."

It? Well, Ashton DOES have two dragons sticking out of his back, from a distance he probably does look more like an it than a person. And as Ashton enter's Lucca's range of vision, she does so to his as well. He idly mumbles to the dragons "There's a person there... I think. You don't suppose it could be one of the Gods Ten Wise Men?" The blue dragon shakes his head "No, it's not likely. The Wise Men had some incredible psychic pressure surrounding them, that's a normal person..." The blue dragon is inturpted by the red one "Wait, do you sense that? That person isn't an Expellian. Whoever it is isn't from this planet." Ashton blinks "Could it be a Nedian?" Ashton shrugs to himself, and keeps up his pace. Finally getting into range where he can make out what Lucca looks like oO(Huh, it's a girl?) Slowing down, he finds himself at a bit of a loss for words. Hi, nice day? What are you doing at the crater where the object which nearly destroyed this world crashed? Stumbling a bit with his words, he blurts out "Who are you?" Yeah, wonderful warm welcome to Expel.

Lucca Ashtear mutters underbreath "No hostility detected. Save recording process and turn off sensors." Lucca tries to smile, altough it comes out a bit awkward "Ehm hello. My name is Lucca. Lucca Ashtear. Who are you? Lucca now notices the 2 dragons on Ashton's back "And is that normal for this place, or does me seeing them mean that I get killed?"

Ashton Anchors hmms "Lucca huh? What do you mean 'normal for this place?'" The red head speaks up, but of course only Ashton can understand it, it just sounds like... dragon... stuff to anyone else "We said already she wasn't from Expel, she's probably wondering if everyone on this world looks like you." Ashton nods "Oh." He turns back to Lucca "Er, no. I'm... unique." He headscratches, unique, yeah, unfortunatly. "So, where do you come from?" He notices that she doesn't have pointy ears, typical of a Nedian "You're not from Expel, or the Energy Nede by the look of you."

Lucca Ashtear let's out a sigh of relief when she finds out he doesn't show any hostile tendencies...yet. "It's kind of hard to explain where I come from, so for now, just consider me a visitor from another plane of excistence. That should do."

No it probably won't do, since Ashton doesn't understand all that technical mumbo jumbo "A plane of.... what?" He idly turns his head to speak to the blue dragon "I wonder if she means another planet, like Claude was?" The blue head responds "Maybe, she seems a lot like Claude, actually. At least with the way her essence feels compared to his, and the people of this world." Ashton hmmms, and turns back to Lucca "So, what do you want here?"

Lucca Ashtear says, "Ehm, I have no idea actually" she said, while frowning "I ended up here by accident, when I was trying to create a warp portal from my home to my laboratory, I overloaded the circuits, and got thrown here. The warp that opened here seems stable enough, and I think I can go back whenever i want. But since I ended up here, I thought I might as well do some exploring first."

Whoa! Technobabble overload! Ashton looks dazed for a moment, then rubs the area between his eyes, and idly comments to the dragons "You know, she really reminds me of Precis." Turning back to Lucca "So, where was it you came from again?"

Lucca Ashtear says, "Let's just call it another planet. I don't even understand myself yet where exactly i came from, so let's just call it another planet, ok?" *her eyes are fixed on the 2 dragons, altough hardly noticeable*"

Finally, language simple enough for Ashton to understand. "Another planet, ok then. So is that where that portal of yours leads to?" He doesn't notice the staring at the dragons, though the dragons themselves seem to. They communicate telepathically with each other for a moment (You'd almost swear she never saw dragons before.)(She probably hasn't, if she came from another planet like Claude did. He never saw a dragon before he met us either.)

Lucca Ashtear says, "Well, I haven't exactly tested the way back yet. But yeah, I think it leads back to my world." *her eyes are now fixed on Ashton, while she's trying to get any info from the expression on his face*"

Info? Well you could probably tell from his expression that he's delt with people from other planets before. He seems a bit surprised to see another again after Claude left, though he's not entirely shocked. "So, you don't even know if you can go back yet or not?" The red dragon speaks again "Sounds familiar, hope she doesn't get stuck here. She could have more in common with Claude afterall."

Lucca Ashtear says, "Well, i'm pretty sure i can go back through this portal, or my helmet wouldn't work. It is connected with something on that world, and would just be an ordinary helmet if there was no way home. Seeing as how it doesn't have a reach of a few million light years...Ehm, anyway. Yes, i'm pretty sure I can go back."

Ashton Anchors hmms to himself. Definetly like Precis. He then blinks oO(Hey waitaminute. She's from another world. Maybe if I can go there myself...) He pauses, rubbing his chin with his hand, obviously thinking something over oO(Maybe if I go there, I can find a way to seperate from Gyoro and Ururun! I've searched every end of Expel without finding anything, maybe I'll have more luck on another world.) He coughs "Say, would that portal be able to take me to your world too?"

Lucca Ashtear blinks and waits for a bit, then answers in a calm tone "Yes it can. If I can walk through it, you should be able to go through as well."

Ashton Anchors hmms some more, yes, interesting interesting. An odd smile appears on his face, maybe he'll finally find a way to go back to normal! "So, tell me more about this world. Does it happen to have a lot of temples, magical artifacts, or anything? Or ... is it more like the Energy Nede, where everything is controled by weird machines?"

Lucca Ashtear smiles, and a twinkle appears in her eyes as she says "All that and more!" There is now a big grin on her face "This world has about every form of magic, technology, and mixes of the 2 ever known! If you are interested in it, it's the best place in the universe to go to!"

Well, now just try and stop him. "Sounds great!" Gyoro, however, interupts him "Wait, weren't you going back to Lacour?" The blue head speaks up as well "You know, to go see Precis in Linga?" Ashton hmms, and waves them off "Aww I can always come back anytime, it seems. Let's check this new world out, who knows what we'll find there."

Lucca Ashtear says, "So you want to come with me, if I understand correctly?"

Ashton Anchors grins "Do you have to ask? I'm a traveller at heart, and I've been all over this world. Time to expand my horizons!" oO(And try and find a way to detatch myself from these guys...) "When do we leave?"

Lucca Ashtear says, "Ehm, now? Just give me a minute to do some stuff..." Lucca clicks a button on her helmet and turns away from Ashton "Experiment 23742, update" She mutters into her mic. "I have made contact with a humanoid entity, who shows no hostility so far. Apparently, he has 2 good-natured parasites lashed on his back. He will come with me to Videoland, cause he is a traveller by heart or something. Experiment accomplished, on our way to Videoland...now. deactivate all sensors and save log."

Lucca Ashtear turns back to Ashton "Well, I'm all set to go. I didn't catch your name tough, mister...?"

Ashton Anchors blinks "Ah, sorry about that. I'm Ashton, Ashton Anchors." The two dragons make a grunting noise "Oh, and these guys are Gyoro and Ururun." The dragons make another grunting noise, and oddly look like they nod in greeting.

Lucca Ashtear says, "Pleased to meet you guys. I am Lucca. Lucca Ashtear." "So, shall we go?"

Ashton Anchors nods eagerly "Yes, lets." Gyoro idly mutters "Let's hope that portal works, I don't want to end up somewhere else. Like the Energy Nede." Ashton asides to Gyoro "Oh be quiet."

Lucca Ashtear says, "Alrighty. Just follow my lead!" *and with that, she runs through the portal*

Palace of Power - Warp Zone Room

This room, the center of warp activity in Videoland, is a series of long hallways, warp zones sitting like multicolored pools of light against the walls, each one labeled, destinations certain for those who step into them. From here, you can go almost anywhere in Videoland, your imagination the only real limit to your destination.

Lucca Ashtear says, "Well Ashton, welcome to Videoland!"

"Like I said, you get use to it." Kirby turns as new people wander out of the warps, and waves a small arm to them. "Hii!" Cheerful little fella, isn't he? Oh, and he's sitting on the shoulders of a large hamster. How often do you see that?

Lucca Ashtear says, "Hey Kirby."

Ashton Anchors strides out of an exit portal after Lucca. He blinks as she welcomes him to the palace "Videoland? That's an odd name for a..." He then reacts in suprise as he sees Kirby and the hampster "Ahh!! What on earth is that??" Seems this Expellian is going to take a bit of time to get used to this place.

Roto grins. "I'd better, else I'll be forever lost and confused..." She glances over as other people step out, eyes furrowing. Hey, wait a sec, those are -

"Dragons!" Roto roars, unsheathing the Sword of Kings in a flash. "Sir, you've got dragons hiding behind you! Stay put, I'll get them!"

Lucca Ashtear says, "Heh, relax Ashton, it's perfectly normal here. Follow me to my lab will you? I'll explain everything there, since it is a little crowded here"

Kirby and Rick the Hamster both just sweatdrop at the reactions around the room. "... Okay, that was definately weird." "Actually, that's normal around here." "..." Kirby just nods sagely. "Dude. Good thing you just brought me, and not Gooey..."

Ashton Anchors reacts in surprise again, as this warrior girl seems to have a bad reaction to Gyoro and Ururun "D-dragons? No, you got it all wrong! These guys.. well they ARE dragons, but they're not hiding! They're well... part of me." A clear look at his back would show that they are indeed connected to the man from there.

Lucca Ashtear says, "It's ok Roto, he's with me. The dragons are harmless."

Roto skids to a stop /right/ before letting loose with one of her rather hazardous-to-be-around slashes. "Huh? Harmless dragons?" Well, that got her attention, at least. Lowering the sword, she steps around Ashton to see that yes, they are attached.

Rick trots around to look as well, both him and Kirby peering at his backside. "I take it back. THAT is weird." Kirby shakes his head. "Wait until you see a metroid." "..."

Ashton Anchors may regret his decision to come here before long. Nevertheless, he's not going to turn and run back to his own world. The chance to find some way to seperate himself from these guys somewhere in Videoland is too good to pass up. He ahems and follows after Lucca, before turning back to the other two "It was, uh, nice to meet you."

Lucca Ashtear suddenly jumps up, and ducks in a warp, and right before it closes, the sound of another experiment blowing up is head

Roto frowns. "Sir, please stay a moment," she says as she resheathes the golden sword. "I didn't mean to frighten you. I just...thought those were going to attack you. They're /dragons/, after all. I apologize."

Lucca Ashtear heads towards Palace of Power - Waiting Room.
Lucca Ashtear has left.

Ashton Anchors blinks as Lucca just sort of... runs off without him. Nuts. Well, finding himself stranded in a place he's never been to before, may as well stay and chat with the girl who tried to cut off two of his three heads. "Well, yeah, they're dragons. But they're not bad or anything, mostly." The red dragon almost looks a bit indignent, but is silent.

Kirby is probably the only one here that isn't completely weirded out by the sight. He just thinks its a little odd, that's all. "Kirby?" Kirby peers down at the hamster. "Yeah Rick?" "Are you trying to tell me there's stranger stuff than that out here?" "Yep." Rick squeaks, sweatdropping. "What have I gotten myself into this time..."

Roto is a nut sometimes. "Oh," she repeats, still obviously confused. "Well. I promise not to attack them, then, unless they attack me first." That's as far as she'll go.

Ashton Anchors nods slightly. "Well, that won't happen." At least it SHOULDN'T. But hey, who knows who Ashton can trust in this world, he just got here. "Anyway, I'm Ashton, Ashton Anchors. These guys are Gyoro and Ururun."

"So... why -do- you have two dragon heads growing out of your shoulders?" Rick asks finally, which makes Kirby facepalm at the hamster. Well, someone had to ask it sooner or later, didn't they?
Roto had been going to ask anyway, so that saved her a bit of trouble. "I'm Roto, that's Kirby and Rick." A pause. "Rick is the hamster. Kirby is the...um...Kirby, what are you? Puff just sounds so...rude. And undignified."

Kirby and Rick both look at Roto blankly for a few moments, and then Kirby scratchs the back of his head with an arm. "...I'm Kirby!", he pipes up finally, smiling as if that answers everything.

Ashton Anchors is caught up in the introductions for a moment. Pink thing is Kirby, the... talking rodent is Rick. And the crazy warrior girl is Roto. Goodie. He coughs "Well, it's a bit of a long story. It happened a couple of years ago, and well... it's really hard to explain actually."

Roto isn't crazy. Mildly deluded, maybe, but only sometimes. "Oh, really? What, did they attack you at the same time you went through a Travel Gate?" ...It could happen.

Donkey Kong has arrived.

Ashton Anchors stares blankly for a moment "What's a travel gate...?" He pauses for a moment and continues "Well, no, they didn't attack me. It was the other way around actually, I attacked them. Some miners in the town of Salva discovered their home in a cave near the town. Of course, their first reaction was to just get rid of them. So they hired me and told me some fake story about these guys killing some miners or something. So in I went, and I found them. We fought for awhile, and I think I wounded them pretty bad, when a group of three others showed up and distracted me, and then, I don't know what they did, but they merged with me."

Kirby says, "..." That's about all Rick has to say on that. "... And I thought Dark Matter posessions did weird things to be," Kirby adds in, blinking a few times. Okay, now that story is weird, even for him."

Roto hmms, eyebrows furrowing. "Have you tried to - well - cut them off? It works for possessors." Well, given the last time a physical possessor showed up in Alefgard was a few hundred years ago, Roto feels pretty secure in saying that.

Ashton Anchors headshakes "Not without killing them it wouldn't." It's a bit of a long story, but the seems that Ashton isn't willing to kill them to remove them "I've been content enough to try and search for a safe method to remove them. Though I searched every corner of my homeworld, and couldn't find anything. Which is why this world interested me so much."

Kirby hmms. "Well, good luck finding a way then," the creampuff squeaks encouragingly. Rick is still just staring dumbfoundedly, trying to comprehend.

Roto frowns - she /liked/ the killing-dragons option. That's just her, though. "Mmm. Okay. Well, good luck. I don't think I have anything in here that could help." Absently, though, she does start to root through her satchel.

Ashton Anchors nods "Thanks, hopefully I'll find something in this world." Ahh to be carefree. At this moment, Ashton has no idea about the whole war with Mother Brain thing, as Lucca failed to mention that. Chances are his plans would change real quick once he hears of if.

Kirby rolls his eyes a moment, and nudges Rick to stir the hamster out of his daze. "Com'm Rick, I'll show you the rest of the palace." ".. huh? Wha.. oh yeah, right... They got someplace to eat around here?" ".. That's my line."

Roto chuckles. "You folks have fun," she says, cheerfully. "I'm heading out a bit."

Ashton Anchors is already gone, must have wandered off. Well... he probably won't get into TOO much trouble.
