Level 2 Hallway

Like the Hallway below it, the Level 2 Hallway is nothing spectacular. A wide passageway to get where you need, there is a moving walkway to one side, smooth metallic floors to the other. This level has glowing yellow neon tubes down the side, even with the doorways tips.

Obvious exits:
<OQ> leads to Officer's Quarters - RHQ.
<RR> leads to Recreation Room - RHQ.
<BF> leads to Barracks Floor - RHQ.
<TL> leads to Turbolift - RHQ.

Ring Redwing arrives from the Barracks Floor - RHQ.
Ring Redwing has arrived.

Ten is slowly walking down the hallway, carryying a large bag at her side. She is looking forward, her expression not really a smile, nor a frown. However, she definately looks like she has a lot on her mind.

Flare Feline leaves the Rec Room, walking rather stiffly. As much as he hated the Master's show last night, he tried looking for something else on, but there really wasn't anything as good, sad huh? The slow brittle way he walks is evident from his normal quick fluid motion. He notices Ten walking with a bag, and decides to have some friendly conversation, which he hasn't had in awhile "Hey Ten, where ya going?" He tries to look cheerful, even though he's walking like Colonel Klink (the TV guy, not our Colonel)

Ten is startled by Flare Feline's yelling to her, but she recovers quickly. She turns toward Flare, looking cheerful because she is genuinely cheerful. Excitedly, she yells, "Flare! Gosh, it's great to see you!" She puts down the bag and hurries toward him, smiling happily. Evidently, she hasn't noticed his difficulty walking just yet.

Ring Redwing comes out of her room, glancing about warily. o0(I hope nobody noticed how long I was gone today) Yes... Redwing has a special window through which she can gain entrance back into the base without her superiors noticing that she sneaked back in... sorta like what human teenagers do when they sneak out of their windows at night in order to dodge a curfew.

Taking a breath and exhaling it in a sigh of relief Redwing notices Flare and Ten standing in the hallway greeting each other. Or should that be Sargeant Flare and Major Ten? Redwing decides to also go say hello, but she watches the two greet each other first.

Flare Feline smiles "So are you going somewhere? I heard that you needed some time off because of stress..." He goes to cross his arms, but almost winces as he brings a hand quickly down to his hip, he was cut in half over a week ago, but there's still trouble with the injury.

Ten shakes her head. "Actually, I went to a motel and relaxed for a while. However, even with the great accomodations, I was still feeling pretty stressed. I felt a need to come back here to check up on some things. I was feeling worried and concerned about some things that have been on my mind." She isn't really smiling anymore. She looks quite serious as she mentions needing to come back and check up on some things, and feeling worried and concerned.

Flare Feline quirks an eyebrow "Worried? About what?" He thinks for a minute "You know... I hope this stress wasn't helped by me. I've depended on you a lot lately with helping with my own problems, I'm sorry if that's added to your stress..." He looks serious, well, he HAS been recieving Ten's help a lot lately, he never really thought at the time if it would have affected her negativly.

Ring Redwing goes up to greet her superior officers, she gives them a salute and then grins as she goes for the informal greeting, "Hihi Ten! Hihi Flare!" Redwing's voice rings out and echoes along the hallway. Soon she's standing by the two other Repliforcers.

Ten waves to Ring Redwing. Cheerfully, she says, "Hiya, Redwing! Good to see you!" Then she turns back to Flare, and slowly begins. "I was worried about y... about the Special Ops division. I was worried about how my sudden absence would effect their ability to carry out their orders. Yeah." .oO(That's a blatant lie. I was worried about you, Big Guy. However, I don't think you need to hear that right now.)Oo. Her smile increases as she adds, "Don't worry, getting my help didn't cause me stress, it made me feel good." .oO(At least that's the truth.)Oo.

Flare Feline nods "Well I'm glad to hear that Ten, I was worried I might have caused you some undue stress..." He smiles and shakes his head, chuckling "So what are you up to now? I hope you're not forcing yourself to go back on duty, if you still need some rest, you should take it you ..know..." He winces again, as he obviously feels some pain from his hip, though he stands up straight again, trying to act like he never felt it.

Ten shakes her head. "Don't worry. I'm not going back on duty just yet. One of the main reasons I came back was because there were some reploids here I really wanted to see." Ten smiles at FLare, letting the smile tell him that he is one of them.

Flare Feline scratches the back of his head, sheepishly "Well, that's good to hear, anyway I guess I shouldn't keep you from wherever it is you're going, so I'll just..." He goes to take a step back, however something happens. As he steps back, there is a sudden glitch in his lower body caused by the injury and Flare falls to the ground, legs temporarily not functioning.

Ring Redwing grins, "Of course! Nothing can keep us down! Because we're the greatest Army in history! Bwahahahaha!" Redwing places her gloved hands upon her lips and guffaws in a triumphant manner... much like Anime people do... a few troops stare at her strangely as they pass by... yes everyhint is just as it should be....

Ten gasps and rushes forward. "Flare! Are you okay?" She looks quite worried, the kind of worry you only see when a person is worried about somebody they care deeply about. "What happened? Do you need Red and I to get a medic?"

Ring Redwing blinks as Flare falls down, and reaches down to help him get up. "Uhm.. look Flare's trying to illustrate my point that we can get up when we fall down!" Redwing needs a clue... somebody give it to her... please.

Flare Feline winces a bit, and slowly regains use of his legs, and stands again "It's... ok..." Well it clearly isn't, his legs DID just give out. Flare continues to clutch his hip, where he was sliced last week, it seems that he wasn't perfectly restored after all. You would expect by now the damages start to fade, not worsen. "It'll just take a bit before this injury is gone, that's all..." He tries to give a confident smile, though he's not very skilled at doing that.

Ten breathes a sigh of relief and nods. "Good. You gave me a bit of a scare there, Big Guy." That same note of concern is still in her voice, the kind that only comes when somebody is speaking to somebody they truly care about.

Ring Redwing grins impishly. "Careful we wouldn't want to bequeath Mr. Fury's cane to you. Now would we. While it might make you more professional... it certainly won't help your looks, that's for sure!" Redwing laughs. (And no she doesn't Naga laugh... take a look at her voiceactress please.) She then turns to Ten, "You shouldn't worry about us all the time Major Ten! It's not healthy... even for reploids! I know... why don't we all go relax somewheres?" Gee Redwing just got back from shopping in Hong Kong and she wants out again... what is she some kind of misbehaving dog.

Flare Feline maybe be able to stand again, but he's having trouble, and it almost looks like his legs cut out again, though only for a split second. A cane would do no good if he doesn't have at least one other good leg to stand on, both are going. "Sorry if I scared you..."

Ten begins to look scared again. First, she turns to Ring Redwing amd says, "This is serious. This isn't the time to be giving a lecture on worrying." Then she turns back to Flare. "Are you sure you are okay? It looks to me like you are having trouble standing. That isn't exactly what I would call okay."

Ring Redwing twitches her mouth sideways wryly and looks ashamed, "I'm sorry..." Grasping Flare, and slightly lifting him so he doesn't fall... he is rather light after all she nods to Ten, "Should we take him back to Medical Bay then?"

Flare Feline starts to fall again, but is supported by the smaller reploid "I don't know if there's anything they can do, the Repair Chamber has done all it can, they expected me to have a little troublt walking for awhile after the fight, but..."

Ten is really starting to look concerned. "I'd say you are having more than a little trouble. It looks to me like if Ring Redwing wasn't supporting you just now, you would have fallen down again. I think we need to get you back to the repair bay. This really does look serious."

Ring Redwing nods to Ten and makes the audio equivalent of a 'tsk.' As she helps Flare away she notes, "Maybe you shouldn't have been sitting all last evening watching the Robot Master TV? Even though we're reploids... non-use of limb articulation can cause atrophy... I saw it on MSE TV once." Redwing is such a hypocrite.

Flare Feline errs as he's being lead away "Well, I guess we could see if there's anything anyone can do..." He sighs, and just goes with it.

Ten helps Flare get to the repair bay in any way she can, although Red seems to have it well in hand.

*Minutes Later.....*

Repair Bay - RHQ

This room is one of the largest in the Repliforce Headquarters, rivalled only by the Barracks, Briefing Area and Hangar Bay. This is the place where the wounded reploids come to get their parts replaced or for general tune-ups and tests. The latest technology is in evidence all around the room as programmed reploids scuttle back and forth, both on legs and some on wheels. Thre are numerous Repair beds that will enclose a reploid fully, and there are places for the larger reploids to power down until they get fixed. The room stretches out quite far in all directions, the only two exits leading out are either to the Laboratory or the hangar-bay sized doors into the hallway. The Repair Bay is extremely well lit, and has a definite antiseptic feel to it, as it is always emmaculately clean.

Repair Chamber

Obvious exits:
<SL> leads to Science Laboratory - RHQ.
<S1H> leads to Sub-Level 1 Hallway.

Ring Redwing arrives from the Sub-Level 1 Hallway.
Ring Redwing has arrived.

Heilen assists the burly minotaur by announcing his presence. "Good evening, Commander," he greets Chi with a smile. "I see you're doing well... let's see..." He steps over to the local analysis computer, and locates the record of supplies used; he marks it dutifully, and turns around to face Chi once more. "How are you feeling?"

Ten arrives from the Sub-Level 1 Hallway.
Ten has arrived.

Chi moves his head to the side to bring Heilen into view. "I am well. The damage sustaned from the battle was not severe, and I am nearly restored." He looks back up toward the ceiling. "I am sorry that I have strained our resources. I shall attempt to be more efficient in the future." The automated drones continue patching up some small parts of Chi's body as he lays on the med bed.

Heilen says, "Don't apologize to me." He chuckles. "If we stopped doing anything every time supplies got a little low, then, well... the bad guys would have had far too much free reign for anyone to take." He glances over to the computer again. "Besides, this wasn't too bad. No major system repairs or replacements.. that's the big pain, replacements. Guess it doesn't help that I prefer them to patchwork repairs..."

Ring Redwing trundles in along with Ten and Flare Feline. The two avians are supporting the poor cat who appears to be having trouble keeping his balance as a result of his being cut in two during the Steel Mill fight.

Flare Feline is being escorted in by.. oh just read Red's pose :)

Chi is mentally trying to command the drones finishing his repairs to hurry up. Lying in on a medical table is not the greatest activity that he can think of. "My armor took the brunt of the damage." His audio sensors pick up something and he turns to look to the new arrivals.

Heilen turns also, and his smile fades somewhat as he spies Flare being supported by Ten and Redwing. "My. I wonder if he did something I told him not to," he murmurs to Chi. Then, louder, to the three of them, "Come over this way.. set him down on a bed here." He gestures to one right next to Chi.

Ten helps get Flare over to the med bed. "He wasn't able to stand up properly, and looked as though he would fall down repeatedly." Just then, it hits her that Chi is lying there injured. Ten begins to look quite distressed as she says, "Chi! Brother, what happened?" Seeing Flare and Chi both hurt in the same day is not going to help her stress problem.

Flare Feline is hefted in, whee! "No, I haven't been doing anything" And he turns to Red "And I was standing last night watching that ridiculous Master broadcast..."

Heilen attempts to calm Ten down--it might help, that he's impeccably calm at the moment, displaying not an iota of distress. "Commander Chi is doing fine, Major.. he's just finishing repairs. Nothing severe." He turns toward Flare. "Now, as for you... hmmm..."

Ring Redwing uh-ohs Ten is getting overstressed again... it's plain to see even by someone as clueless as Redwing... Quickly she also lays Flare down in a similar fashion as Chi. Then turns to Ten to try to get her to relax, "Relax Major Ten... I'm sure Heilen knows what he's doing..."

Chi looks over to Flare. "Yes, while the Masters were broadcasting Flare was merely standing in one place. He did look like he had some difficulty walking correctly, though." He turns to Ten and flashes a smile. "Don't worry, sister. My injuries are not severe, and I am nearly repaired. Be at ease."

Heilen begins to prep the bed, connecting Flare to the analysis comptuer via APAT as soon as it's ready. He examines the readouts for a few moments, arms folded, saying nothing.

Flare Feline lays down, just letting Heilen do whatever, but turns to Ten "Don't worry, I'll be fine, I'm sure it's nothing he can't handle..."

Ten is clearly relieved when Chi confirms that he is doing well. She calms down a bit, but still seems worried as she tells Heilen what else she observed. "Just now, Flare couldn't even handle standing in one place. He fell down once, and would have fallen down again if Red hadn't supported him." She looks back to Flare. "You're right, I shouldn't be worrying. I'm sure you will be okay. Heilen is a great medic." She finally allows herself to smile at this point.

Heilen seems rather quiet--oblivious, perhaps, even to the compliments as he examines the schematics and real-time reports displayed on the monitor. At last, he exhales, and unfolds his arms. "There's... something wrong with the knee matrices in both legs.. and the ankle joint servos. They don't seem to be getting enough power, and--ah!--just like that, they seem to be deactivating completely at random times." He frowns to himself, pondering the problem.

Ring Redwing tries to get Ten to sit down and relax some more... the smile is a step in the right direction, "So..." Redwing begins to open up in conversation. "Did you see any interesting sites while on your break? Buy any souveniors or what-not? I always buy souveniors when I go visit new places... mostly rings and jewelry." Okay... so she's mostly rambling. Whatever it takes to get Ten's mind off worrying.

Flare Feline tries to refrain from giving a 'well duh' look, and just continues to lie there, just looking reassuring to Ten, she doesn't need this now.

Chi looks toward his own repair readout, the computer screen turned toward him at his request earlier. .oO(I am still only 82 percent repaired.) He sighs and contemplates sending away the drones for the moment, so that he may speak with his sister.

Ten, most fortunately, is successfully distracted by Ring Redwing. Her rambling stops Ten from hearing Heilen's unfortunate diagnosis. Her smile increases as she days, "I haven't had a chance to go shopping for souvenirs yet, but don't worry, it won't be long before I head to a mall and go all out with my Major's pay-check!" She smiles enthusiastically at that.

Heilen nods to himself. "I'm going to take a look at the major power conduits. They're operating very sporadically." With that, he steps away to locate the proper tools, and returns to Flare's table. He deactivates Flare's damage sensors and promptly begins to open the knee and surrounding regions of the leg, setting aside the plates to examine the components there close-up. Both of the optical lenses on his forehead he flips down to get a better look.

Flare Feline lies there, since Ten is paying attention to Chi, and Red is paying attention to Ten, yay!

Heilen is paying attention to Flare. :P

Ring Redwing nods emphatically, encouraging this train of thought, "That sounds like a lot of fun! Shopping is good exercise and a good way to meet people! Why just today I met 3 reploids I haven't seen for the longest time in Hong Kong!" Oops... she wasn't supposed to say that. "It was lots of fun! As they say... shopping is always more fun, when there's more than one! Isn't that a really neat thing to say?" Ring rattles off exclamations in a slightly annoying yet distracting manner... she probably didn't even notice her slip up.

Chi is also laying there, remaining calm. He closes his optics and waits patiently for the drones to finish.

Ten listens to Ring Redwing ramble a bit, clearly amused by it, and not finding any negative significance to her having ran into three reploids whom she had not seen in a long time. Still smiling, she says, "Sounds like you are a true shopper. That is totally awesome!" Just then, she looks about to see what else is going on in the room.

Heilen spends long minutes examining the electrical circuitry of Flare's legs--sometimes he bends down very close to the components, almost touching his ocular lenses against them, and other times pulls himself back to get a wider view. He runs several tests with his handheld scanner, connecting prods to various points on the wiring. It takes a little while, but he finally finishes his examination, setting the equipment aside and--somberly, from the looks of it--setting the plates back into place to secure them.

Heilen says, "Well... the bad news is, I can't put my finger on the cause of the problem." He shakes his head. "I /see/ the problem, here." He taps on the monitor, in several locations, inadvertently bringing up zoomed portions of the segments he touches. Some red text is written across the schematics there. "Your servos aren't getting enough power to even lock themselves in place. But the wiring seems sound." He inhales, and crosses to his own desk's computer, leaning down to begin tak-takking rapidly. "But, I'm going to see if I can't do something..."

Ring Redwing finishes her rambling... well it seems Ten doesn't mind the fact that she was sneaking around Hong Kong while a bunch of other troops were on-duty. At least she didn't slip up so bad as to tell /who/ they were exactly. "Well, I should be heading off to bed... must be well rested for what's coming tomorrow," She is referring to the Party of course. Redwing nods to the two injured Repliforcers and Heilen as well as Ten as she begins walking towards the Bay's exit. "Well! See you all laters!"

Heilen stands straight, and turns toward the group. Well, he's facing Flare, but the others are in that direction as well--so they get the information by proxy. He heads back over to Flare's table. "I have the address of your--good night, Redwing!--creator... a Dr. Jedidiah Snow. I'm going to contact him and see if he, being the original drawer of the schematics, could fix you better than I could."

Flare Feline sits up, or at least he tries to at the Doc's name "Err, hang on, I mean, I don't want to disturb him or anything. There's no need, maybe this'll just fix itself?" Right? Not likely.

Ten shakes her head, the distress returning. "Flare, you are having trouble just sitting up, and you expect the problem to fix itself? Flare, I am usually an optimist, but right now, because I care about you, I have to be a realist. You need some help. If even Heilen can't fix the problem, you need to get in touch with somebody who can. Listen to Heilen's advice, he knows what he is talking about."

Chi still lays there, but feels something different in a moment. The welding and working of the drones ceases, and the move away with an electronic whirr. Chi sits up on his med table and moves his limbs around. Lying there so long has stiffened his joints. It is a rare sight to see Chi without his armor, so he promptly grabs the heavy suit from the bedside and dons it. He is just placing his halbred in its normal position behind his back when Heilen and Flare speak. He wonders about Flare's reacion to the name of the doctor Heilen mentioned, and adds, "Sergeant, if this problem has presented itself for this long I doubt that it will just 'fix itself.' Having at least another opinion would be wise."

Heilen doesn't quite /glare/, but his expression--at once stern and unyielding--comes close to it. He nods at Ten's and Chi's statements. "You are not going to hobble around Repliforce HQ for the rest of your life, Sergeant." Firm words, for speaking to someone higher-ranking than him. "You've been several days in repair, several more in recovery, and you're little better off than when you began.. something's not working right, and I can't find it. We can't waste the time chasing geese. Dr. Snow will be recompensated, of course."

Flare Feline sighs, well there's no way to stop this is there? "...alright. It's too late to contact him tonight, we'll have to do it tomorrow *my way of saying I have to go now*"

Heilen nods, smiling then as soon as Flare agrees. "Oh, of course. I have the pertinent information ready. I'll contact Dr. Snow tomorrow. As for you, tonight, you should probably rest here."

Flare Feline nods at Heilen and lies back down again, well great. Flare's been putting off meeting the Doc again, and now he has no choice. It's not that he was purposly avoiding the meeting, but he's still nervous about it. But there's nothing that can be done about it now, let that be a lesson to those who can't dodge a Sonic Slicer :)

Ten nods, glad that Flare has finally agreed to contacting Dr. Snow. "I'm sure that with Dr. Snow's help, you will recover quickly." She looks genuinely relieved.
